A journey to Holland
From the 15th of May to the 18th of May my family, my neighbours and I, drove to the European championship in carambol billard. This championship took place in Venlo which is near the German frontier in Holland. We needed eleven hours to get there from Wieselburg. On the second day my brother and his team played their first matches. Gregor and Stefan lost everything on Friday, but the third man of the team, Wolfgang, won two matches. On Saturday Gregor and Wolfgang won everything and also Stefan was able to defeat his rival. In the end the team of Wieselburg reached the 5th place, which was really good, because last year they were the last on place eight. On Saturday my brother and his team celebrated the victories with the team of the Czech Republic. On Sunday was the victory ceremony and the first place went to France, the second to Belgian, the third to the Czech Republic, the fourth also to Belgian, the fifth to Austria, the sixth to Netherlands, the seven also to the Netherlands and the eighth to Germany. I hope that my brother’s team will be able to get a medal next year. I’m happy that I was able to come to Venlo and it’s was really cool there.
Sports week
In my following text I want to tell you something about our last school project. Every class of the fourth form drove for 5 days to Niederölarn near Schladming. All together I think we were more than 140 pupils. There were seven different possibilities of sport for example: Beach volleyball, riding horses, going climbing, outdoor, sportmix, kayak and playing tennis. Every day we had 4 hours sport and the rest of the time we were able to do what we want. For instance we played billard, table tennis or other games. Most of the time we got good food, but sometimes it was really disgusting.
I think we all had a lot of fun in Niederöblarn, but the weather was awful and so we were not often able to go out.
Summer:
In my following text I want to tell you something about my ideas for my summer holidays. My friends and I made a list what we want to do in summer. On this list are 30 points, for example: playing volleyball, going bowling, eating ice, driving to a lake and so on. My family wants to drive on holiday but we don’t know where we will drive. I also want to visit my aunt by train for one week. She lives near Vienna. I hope there will be time to meet my friends from school and drive shopping with them. I think this summer will be great and I hope the rest of the school year will pass quickly.
Easter:
At Easter we drove to my aunt near Vienna. There my whole family sat together and celebrated Easter. My aunt also showed us her three sheep. Two are white and one is brown. She also has got two cats, three ducks and lots of chicken. After we had lunch we went outside to look for our presents. I got clothes, sweets and money. Then my aunt showed us her new kitchen, which is really big and great. After that my family went for a walk but I stayed at the house and read a book. When the came back, we had dinner. We also get different eggs, which my brother and I damaged in a play. I think he won. Then we drove home. This Easter was really fine and I hope next Easter will be also nice.
Another neighbour:
In my following text I want to tell you something about the brother of Chri and Steff. His name is Florian, but everybody call him Floh. Floh is 11 years old and he attends the Secondary Modern School in Wieselburg. He loves playing football and playing table tennis with his brothers, but often he quarrels with them. He also likes riding his bike and going into the outdoor pool. Floh often plays Billard with Stefan and Gregor. He can be nice, but frequently he quarrels with everybody. Sometimes he really starts getting on my nerves, but it’s always funny with him.
One of my best friends
She is my best friend in school and her name is Astrid. She is 14 years old and our birthday is on the same day, but I’m 12 hours older than her. She has got two elder sisters called Barbara and Isabella. Her hometown is Wieselburg and I think she is happy to live there. We are attending the same school and she is in my class. In September she is going to another school in Vienna, but I will stay in Wieselburg, so I hope I will meet her on the weekends. Astrid likes going shopping and going to the cinema. She is really nice, helpfulness and always laughing.
Another neighbour:
In my following text I want to tell you something about my other neighbour. His name is Christian, but everybody call him Chri. He is the elder brother of Stefan and he is 19 years old. He has got two other brothers who are 11 and 25 years old. After the Secondary Modern School he made an apprenticeship and now he is painter. He loves his work, but at the moment he is at the army. He loves driving around with his car and playing football with his brothers and friends. Chri is really nice, but sometimes
English in Action
Last week we had English in Action, which is a project for students. During that week we only had English with two native speakers. Every day we had three book-lessons, one free-lesson, one project-lesson and one show-lesson. In the book-lessons we learnt something about England, but most of the time we asked questions about the people in our group to get to know them better. In our free time we wrote stories and acted out sketches. We worked for the project and the show, which we showed our parents in the last lessons on the last day. I think it was a really great week because the native speakers were nice and we had so much fun. IN addition it was better than normal school.
My neighbour
My neighbour’s name is Stefan Damesberger, but his friends call him Steff. He is sixteen years old and his birthday is two days before my brother’s birthday on the second of December. They have been friends since kindergarten.
He works as an apprentice in a small company. His hobbies are playing soccer and playing billiard. He is a very good billiard player and he also often wins in contests. Very often we watch dvd’s, which belong to him, on the weekend. He is a very nice person and I am happy that I know him because you can always have fun with him.
One of my best friends
Her name is Katharina Erber, but we all call her Kathi. She is sixteen years old and her birthday is on the fifth of September. Kathi attends a HLW in Linz. I don’t spend much time with her because during the week she is in Linz. She is very happy about her decision to go to this school. Her favourite language is Spanish, but she hates French. Her hobbies are playing volleyball, meeting friends and writing emails. She is a very crazy, active person, but she is also very honest. Sometimes she is a bit too crazy and two years ago I often quarrelled with her. But now she is one of my best friends.
